Major Project Commissioned by Central Committee for Social Work and Supreme People’s Procuratorate Launches at Capital Normal University

On March 4, the launch meeting for the Comprehensive Promotion Project for High-Quality Development of Judicial Social Work for Minors in China was held at Capital Normal University (CNU). Commissioned by the Central Committee for Social Work (CCSW) and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP), the project aims to advance judicial social work for minors through model zone development, institution cultivation, talent training, and practice-based research. Attendees included Guo Rui, Deputy Director-General of the Fifth Bureau of CCSW; Song Dan, Prosecutor from the Ninth Prosecutorial Office of the SPP; university leaders such as Li Hailiang, Vice President of CNU; and renowned experts from academic institutions. The meeting was chaired by Wang Daguang, Deputy Secretary of the Committee of CPC in CNU.

Xi Xiaohua, Professor at CNU’s School of Political Science and Law and Executive Dean of the Beijing Institute of Juvenile Social Work, presented the project’s framework. Li Hailiang underscored CNU’s full institutional support to ensure high-quality outcomes. Song Dan called for replicable achievements to strengthen the nationwide juvenile procuratorial support system, while Guo Rui emphasized adhering to political principles, rigorous implementation, and ethical standards.

Leveraging CNU’s expertise as a leader in juvenile judicial social work, the project seeks to enhance professional standards in juvenile rights protection and foster a robust social support network. It will advance under the guidance of CCSW and SPP to contribute significantly to China’s judicial social work for minors.
