“Youth and Volunteerism Hand in Hand”: Capital Normal University Launches Thematic Exhibition on Volunteer Service

On the eve of the 62nd Learn from Lei Feng Day and the 26th Chinese Youth Volunteer Service Day, Capital Normal University (CNU) hosted the opening ceremony for its “Youth and Volunteerism Hand in Hand” volunteer service exhibition on the afternoon of March 4. Chaired by Wang Xun, Secretary of the University Communist Youth League Committee, the event was attended by leaders from central and state organs, the Beijing Communist Youth League Committee, and university administrators.

During the ceremony, student volunteer representatives issued an advocacy declaration, while attending leaders presented flags to volunteer service teams and unveiled the exhibition. Cao Wenjun, Secretary of the CNU Party Committee, emphasized the crucial role of volunteerism in cultivating new generations. She outlined dual guiding principles of “Aiding Others and Cultivating Talent,” encouraging faculty and students to pursue excellence through grassroots engagement.

The comprehensive exhibition features four thematic sections showcasing volunteer achievements through over 210 photographs, 200 physical artifacts, and 12,000 words of documented materials. With its integrated visual and historical displays, the exhibition aims to carry forward the Lei Feng Spirit while inspiring the university community to contribute to the advancement of volunteer service initiatives.
