From April 24th to 25th, Capital Normal University held its 65th Track and Field Sports Meeting. University leaders, representatives from relevant units in Haidian District, and faculty and student representatives attended the opening ceremony on the 24th, which was presided over by Song Jun.

The National Flag Guard, 29 departmental teams, and the faculty and staff procession entered in sequence, showcasing the charm of teachers and students with unique performances. After the solemn flag-raising ceremony, President Fang Fuquan delivered the opening speech, reviewing the outstanding achievements in sports activities and competitions over the past year, pointing out that the university is in a critical period of "Double First-Class" construction and a breakthrough period in campus development, emphasizing the significance of the track and field sports meeting to the university's sports work, and encouraging teachers and students to enjoy sports and temper their will.

Student athlete representative Chen Mingda, faculty athlete representative Hu Xiaonan, and referee representative Jiang Tao each took the oath.

Party Secretary Cao Wenjun declared the sports meeting open.

At the opening ceremony, performances such as aerobics, cheerleading, fencing, and dragon dance were spectacular. The aerobics performance “The Power of Teachers・Dancing Brilliance” by 290 faculty members brought the atmosphere to a climax. This year's sports meeting included track and field events as well as fun competitions, with nearly two thousand athletes from 25 departments participating, and enthusiasm was high both on and off the field.

The sports meeting concluded on the afternoon of April 25th, with university leaders presenting banners and trophies to the winning units.
