Capital Normal University Holds Cooperation Talks with Tianjin Northern Performing Arts Group

On the afternoon of April 14, Capital Normal University (CNU) and Tianjin Northern Performing Arts Group held discussions at the Shuzhong Dongtian Conference Room on its main campus to strengthen university-group collaboration and deepen industry-education integration. Attendees included Wu Yanhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin Northern Performing Arts Group, along with heads of relevant departments; Wang Daguang, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee; Han Jihua, Standing Committee member of the Party Committee and Vice President; Li Xuesong, Secretary of the Music College Party Committee; Liu Rui, Secretary of the Fine Arts College Party Committee; as well as representatives from the Admissions and Career Services Office, the University Youth League Committee, and related schools. The meeting was chaired by Wang Xun, Secretary of the University Youth League Committee.

Han Jihua warmly welcomed Wu Yanhong and her delegation, providing a detailed overview of the university’s strengths in talent cultivation, faculty expertise, disciplinary resources, and professional advantages. Participants jointly viewed a promotional video introducing Tianjin Northern Performing Arts Group, during which Wu Yanhong outlined the group’s operations and development goals, covering areas such as troupe structure, performance planning, theatrical production, and cultural dissemination.

The two sides exchanged ideas on aligning needs and resources in talent development, internships, student employment, and campus cultural initiatives, reaching a preliminary consensus on collaborative partnerships.

In his concluding remarks, Wang Daguang highlighted the vast potential for cooperation between CNU and Tianjin Northern Performing Arts Group in curriculum co-development, joint research projects, and talent cultivation. He expressed hope for strengthened communication, resource sharing, and deepened collaboration to jointly contribute to the integrated cultural development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Following the meeting, attendees visited the Rooted in Tradition, Cultivating Innovation Fine Arts Exhibition featuring CNU’s collection of classic paintings.

Next steps include the University Youth League Committee and the External Cooperation Office coordinating resources across departments and schools to refine cooperation plans and sign a framework agreement with Tianjin Northern Performing Arts Group, ensuring the implementation of collaborative projects.
