CNU Held Workshop on Enhancing Research Capabilities for International People-to-People Exchange Study Programs

From April 25 to 27, the Workshop on Enhancing Research Capabilities for International People-to-People Exchange Study Programs was held at the International Culture Building Auditorium. The event was guided by the Center for China-Europe People-to-People Exchange under the Ministry of Education, organized by the Institute for International People-to-People Exchange Study Programs, and hosted by our university’s publishing house. Over 180 scholars and experts from 111 research units across 19 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities participated.

Vice President Song Jun of our university, Chen Taowei, Director of the Department of Mechanism Coordination at the Center for China-Europe People-to-People Exchange, Ma Hong, Director of the Theoretical Research Office at the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, and Liang Zhanjun, Dean of the Institute for Country and Regional Studies, attended the opening ceremony. Chen Taowei emphasized that study programs serve as a vital platform for international educational exchange, integrating people-to-people exchange concepts to cultivate a new generation of talents with global perspectives.

During the expert lecture session, Tu Duanwu, Ma Hong, Wang Xiaoyan, and Li Fang delivered keynote speeches on topics including policies and trends in international people-to-people exchange, the dissemination of ethnic culture, the development of study programs, and research methodologies. Eighteen research units and three special-grade teachers shared case studies, offering practical references for research projects.

Through systematic training, this workshop effectively enhanced the research capabilities for study programs, contributing to the cultivation of professional talents and the development of a high-quality teaching workforce.
