CUN Achieved Outstanding Results in the 5th Beijing College Teaching Innovation Competition

On May 26, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced the winners of the 5th Beijing College Teaching Innovation Competition. Five faculty teams from our university performed exceptionally well, securing one first prize, three third prizes, and one excellence award. Among them, the team led by Wei Ge won the first prize in the New Liberal Arts Associate Professor Group with their course “Professional Development for Primary School Teachers” and advanced to the national competition.

This year’s competition, themed “Promoting Teaching Innovation, Cultivating Top Talent,” featured seven tracks. Since the launch of the university-level competition in November 2024, our institution has placed high importance on the event. The Academic Affairs Office, in collaboration with relevant departments, meticulously organized training sessions, invited experts for guidance, and optimized teaching plans to support participants. Additionally, training resources were made available for all faculty to observe and learn. The competing teams dedicated themselves to teaching innovation, achieving remarkable results in course restructuring, digital resource development, ideological and political integration, and more.

Moving forward, the university will leverage this competition to deepen the “competition-driven teaching and reform” mechanism, enhance faculty teaching capabilities, improve classroom quality, and inject new momentum into educational reform.
