Executive President of the University of Tonga Visits Our University and Signs Cooperation Agreement

Number of hits:On August 20, Tangikina Moimoi Steen, Executive President of the University of Tonga, visited our university. Ma Ligeng, standing member of the Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in CNU and Vice President of CNU, along with Han Mei, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, and representatives from the School of International Culture, attended the meeting.
This marked the first visit from a Tongan higher education institution to our university. Vice President Ma Ligeng extended a warm welcome to Steen and her delegation. The two sides explored potential collaborations in areas such as study-in-China programs, short-term winter/summer exchange groups, STEM teacher training, academic exchanges for faculty, and field research opportunities for tourism students. Following the discussions, Ma Ligeng and Steen signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective institutions, inaugurating educational collaboration between our university and Tonga, a South Pacific island nation.
