Standing Member of Party Committee and Vice President of our university Wang Luozhong, along with Dean Zhang Shuang of the College of Education, led a delegation of faculty and students to attend the event. Over 200 experts and scholars from 27 universities and educational administrative departments across the country gathered for discussions.
The conference centered on the theme of "Independent Knowledge System and Construction of Original Textbooks," focusing on core topics such as the refinement of Chinese educational experience, innovation in curriculum and teaching theory, and the pathways for building a strong educational nation. Wang Luozhong emphasized at the opening ceremony that CNU adheres to the university-running characteristic of "dual empowerment of theoretical innovation and practical reform," which has received affirmation from Vice Minister of Education Wang Jiayi for the "1+1"+N conference mechanism pioneered by the Institute of Curriculum and Textbook Research.
Professor Tian Huisheng delivered the opening keynote report, proposing the construction of an independent knowledge system based on the three major attributes of education. Professor Shi Ou focused on the transformation in the digital age, advocating for the innovation of curriculum and teaching theories. Faculty and students from our College of Education, including Wang Panfeng and Lv Xiaojuan, shared cutting-edge research results in sub-forums and the graduate forum, promoting in-depth dialogue within the academic community.
At the closing ceremony, Tian Huisheng delivered a summary speech, highly evaluating the successful holding of the conference from three aspects: "cutting-edge topics," "in-depth discussions," and "broad participation." He also expressed the hope that colleagues in the academic community would work together to build on China's excellent traditional culture and jointly promote the development of the discipline of education in the new era. While continuously refining the practical experiences of Chinese education, we should actively respond to the educational reform demands of the artificial intelligence era, and together advance the construction of an independent knowledge system that combines theoretical depth with practical vitality.
