Beijing Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese Delegation Visits CNU for Research Exchange

Number of hits:On the afternoon of March 11, a delegation from the Beijing Municipal Returned Overseas Chinese Association (Beijing ROCHA), led by Zhou Jingxiao, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group of Beijing ROCHA, visited Capital Normal University (CNU) for research and to extend greetings to Guan Hongliang, Vice Chairperson of Beijing ROCHA and Professor at the School of Resources, Environment and Tourism. The delegation included Hong Xin, member of the Leading Party Members Group and Vice Chairperson of Beijing ROCHA; Liu Jinfeng, Director of the Social Work Department; and Li Lu, staff member. Cao Wenjun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of CNU; Sun Xiaofeng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee; along with heads of the United Front Work Department, Alumni Affairs Office, and the School of Resources, Environment and Tourism, participated in the event.
Cao Wenjun warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude for Beijing ROCHA’s long-standing support and trust in CNU, particularly its care for and cultivation of overseas Chinese talents such as Professor Guan Hongliang. Sun Xiaofeng chaired a symposium, introducing the university’s overall profile in terms of institutional positioning, discipline development, faculty strength, teaching and research, and admissions and employment. Yang Hongying, Executive Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department; Bai Xiangning, Director of the Alumni Affairs Office; and Chang Hua, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Resources, Environment and Tourism, exchanged views on the university’s overseas Chinese affairs, overseas alumni engagement, and college-level support for returned overseas Chinese. Professor Guan Hongliang shared his experience in leveraging overseas Chinese resources to serve national development.
Zhou Jingxiao acknowledged the university’s CPC Committee for its consistent support of Beijing ROCHA’s work, commended CNU’s achievements in overseas Chinese affairs, and offered guidance for further advancing these efforts. Prior to the meeting, attendees watched the university’s promotional video, followed by a visit to the History Museum.
