Sichuan Disabled Persons Inspirational Report Group Visited Capital Normal University for Motivational Lecture

Number of hits:On the morning of March 21st, Capital Normal University, in collaboration with the Sichuan Provincial Government Beijing Office and the Sichuan Disabled Persons Service Center, hosted a student ideological guidance and empowerment event titled “Building Spirit, Chasing Light, Guiding the Way.” The event invited the Sichuan Disabled Persons Inspirational Report Group to deliver a lecture. Attendees included Wang Daguang, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee; Qi Chenglong, Director of the Student Affairs Office and Armed Forces Department; Wang Lei and Naibi Jiang·Maituson, Deputy Directors; Wei Yun, Director of Economic Cooperation at the Sichuan Provincial Government Beijing Office; Liu Mingchuan, Secretary of the Sichuan Beijing Office Youth League Committee; and over 100 faculty members and students. The event was hosted by Chao Di.
The event began with a screening of news highlights from President Xi Jinping’s inspection tour of Sichuan. Members of the report group then shared their inspiring stories: Liu Min, who was disabled in the Wenchuan earthquake, earned a master’s degree from Nanjing University and now aids disabled individuals in employment; Ye Ying recounted her journey of overcoming life’s adversities; Boshinisa performed on the accordion to embody resilience; Zhang Linxin shared her efforts to preserve intangible cultural heritage and assist people with disabilities.
Wang Daguang presented a commemorative gift to the group on behalf of the university, while students offered flowers as a tribute.
This lecture served as a profound lesson on overcoming adversity and valuing life. The Student Affairs Office pledged to continue organizing such activities to inspire students to strengthen their resolve and refine their character through perseverance.
