Three Researchers from Our University were Selected for the 2024 Elsevier 'Highly Cited Chinese Researchers' List

On March 25, Elsevier released the 2024 list of "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers", which includes 6,388 scholars from 547 universities, enterprises, and research institutions. Among them, Professor Ma Ligeng from the College of Life Sciences, Professor Ma Zhanfang from the Department of Chemistry, and Associate Professor Liu Tie from Information Engineering College from our university were successfully selected, being listed in the fields of "Biology," "Chemistry," and "Information and Communication Engineering," respectively.

The Elsevier "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list was first released in 2015 and will see its 11th edition published in 2025. The list uses the globally authoritative citation and indexing database Scopus as the statistical source for the research achievements of Chinese scholars, analyzing their performance in scientific research and attracting significant attention from both domestic and international media and scholars. This edition of the Elsevier list covers 10 disciplinary areas and 83 first-level disciplines as defined by the Ministry of Education, providing a more intuitive representation of the academic research ecology within China's disciplinary framework, allowing scholars with outstanding performance in more regionally distinctive sub-disciplines to come into the spotlight. Being included in this list signifies that the scholar, as the first author or corresponding author, has a total citation count for published papers that ranks among the top researchers in the country within their discipline, demonstrating a high level of global influence and making outstanding contributions to the development of the field.

Our university insists on leading with the output of high-level research results, supported by multidisciplinary development, and accelerating efforts to advance the construction of "Double First-Class" disciplines, achieving continuous improvement in research level and academic influence, striving to write the chapter of "Capital Normal University" in the comprehensive advancement of building a strong education country through Chinese modernization.
