To promote high-quality education development and explore innovative talent cultivation models through the collegiate system， the Primary Education College solemnly hosted the appointment ceremony for the Dean of Boliang College alongside Academician Liu Jiaqi’s lecture in the university’s academic lecture hall on the afternoon of April 17. Distinguished attendees included Academician Liu Jiaqi from the Chinese Academy of Sciences， Vice President Ma Ligeng (member of the University Party Standing Committee)， Party Secretary Liu Haitao and Dean Li Min of the Primary Education College， faculty representatives， and second and third-year students from Boliang College. The ceremony was presided over by Dean Li Min.

Vice President Ma Ligeng elaborated on the university’s goal to build a world-class normal university with Chinese characteristics and its “Three-Step Development Strategy.” Emphasizing the importance of talent cultivation， he extended warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to Academician Liu Jiaqi before presenting the letter of appointment.

Established in 2022 to implement the Ministry of Education’s call to strengthen science education， Boliang College was named after Mr. Shang Boliang， an early president in the college’s history. Following a group photo session， Academician Liu Jiaqi delivered an inspiring lecture titled “Hardship and Adversity Polish One into a Gem — Self-Improvement in Life.” He emphasized that “ambition should be rooted in moral integrity， with ideals serving as life’s compass.”

In recent years， the Primary Education College at Capital Normal University has vigorously promoted collegiate system reforms， having established two talent cultivation hubs: Jingxiu College and Boliang College. Moving forward， the college will continue leveraging its strengths to implement the national education strengthening guidelines and compose new chapters in talent development.
