The Comprehensive Promotion Project for High-Quality Development of Judicial Social Work for Minors Nationwide in the Haidian Demonstration Zone has been Launched

On March 28, the launch ceremony for the "Comprehensive Promotion Project for High-Quality Development of Judicial Social Work for Minors Nationwide" was held at the People's Procuratorate of Haidian District in Beijing. Representatives from the Central Social Work Department, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, relevant departments of Beijing and Haidian District, as well as over 50 attendees including representatives from the People’s Congress and members of the Political Consultative Conference were present. Han Jihua, Standing member of the Committee of the Communist Party of China in CNU and Vice President of CNU, led the representatives of our university to attend the event.

The project is commissioned by the Central Social Work Department and the Supreme People's Procuratorate, aiming to enhance the professionalization and standardization of social work in juvenile justice through measures such as building service demonstration zones, cultivating professional institutions and talents, and deepening practical research, thereby strengthening rights protection and crime prevention. During the launch ceremony, Professor Xi Xiaohua from the College of Political Science and Law at CNU provided a detailed introduction to the project design and implementation plan.

Han Jihua stated that CNU has long been engaged in the field of juvenile justice social work, integrating theoretical research, talent cultivation, and social services. In the future, the university will rely on its disciplinary advantages to advance projects of high quality under the guidance of national strategies, contributing to the innovative development of the industry. Subsequently, Han Jihua, on behalf of CNU, jointly signed a service demonstration area construction agreement with the People's Procuratorate of Haidian District, Beijing, and Beijing Beyond Social Work Office, marking the official implementation phase of the project. This cooperation will further integrate multiple resources and promote the improvement and development of the juvenile justice social work service system.
