Representatives of the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, Paid an Exchange Visit to Capital Normal University

Number of hits:Professor Chen Ke, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, paid an exchange visit to the Capital Normal University (CNU) on December 25.
Li Hailiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CNU, extended a warm welcome to Chen Ke and reviewed the history of friendly exchanges between the two universities. He stressed that the cooperation between the two sides commenced in 2011, and we have maintained friendly exchanges for more than a decade and conducted joint student training programs. Since 2020, CNU has cooperated with the University of Strathclyde to conduct four sessions of the external training program. In the future, we are looking forward to more in-depth cooperation in academic, scientific research and teaching fields.
Chen Ke introduced the school-running history and professional development status of the University of Strathclyde, focusing on its current international cooperation mode and development strategy.
During the symposium, the two sides held a heated discussion on possible future cooperation fields and student training modes, and preliminarily reached an intention of cooperation in the following two aspects. The first is to extensively explore credit exchange and double degree programs; the second is to broaden cooperation fields on the basis of existing related professional cooperation, and then conduct in-depth Sino-foreign cooperative education.
Moving forward, the two sides are to maintain regular communication, deepen cooperation in education and scientific research, and work together to cultivate high-quality international talents.
