On August 27, 2024, the closing ceremony of the ASEAN-China Centre Scholarship Short-Term Program, organized by the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), supported by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) under China’s Ministry of Education, and hosted by Capital Normal University (CNU), was successfully held in Beijing.

Ma Ligeng, Vice President of Capital Normal University, emphasized the institution’s commitment to deepening collaboration with the ASEAN-China Centre. He stated that CNU will further strengthen academic and cultural exchanges with universities and educational institutions across ASEAN countries, aiming to elevate China-ASEAN educational cooperation to higher levels and foster deeper mutual understanding.

During the short-term program, participants from ASEAN Member States engaged in immersive language courses and specialized lectures provided by CNU. Additionally, they conducted field trips and cultural immersion activities in Taihang Mountain areas of Changzhi (Shanxi Province), Beijing, and Tianjin. These experiences offered a multifaceted exploration of China’s traditional cultural heritage and the achievements of its modernization efforts.
