On the morning of November 19, the Beijing Science and Technology Conference and Awards Ceremony were grandly convened at the Beijing Conference Center, where the 2023 Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Awards were officially announced. A total of 19 scientists and 196 scientific achievements received accolades this year. Among them, Professor Zhang Zhenlei from the School of Mathematical Sciences and Professor Benoy Pakdam, a guest professor affiliated with our university, were awarded the Zhongguancun Award for Outstanding Young Scientists and the Zhongguancun International Cooperation Award, respectively.

The recognition of our two professors at the 2023 Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Awards not only highlights their outstanding individual contributions to scientific research but also affirms the exceptional academic environment and collaborative efforts of our university’s research teams. Their achievements further support the implementation of our institution’s “Double First-Class” Initiative and “Climbing Plan,” while providing vital momentum for Beijing’s development as an international hub for scientific and technological innovation.
