A professor from the School of Resources and Environment Was Elected as an Executive Member of the 11th Committee of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC)

The 11th National Congress of Returned Overseas Chinese and Their Relatives commenced in Beijing from August 31 to September 3. Xi Jinping, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Han Zheng and other senior leaders of the Party and the state attended the event. Li Xi, on behalf of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, delivered a speech. Some 1,200 representatives of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives from all around the country, as well as nearly 600 overseas Chinese as special guests from over 100 countries, gathered joyfully at the congress. Professor Guan Hongliang from the School of Resources and Environment of our university attended the conference and was elected as a standing member of the 11th Committee of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.

The All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC) is a national people's organization led by the Party and composed of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives. It serves as a bridge and link between the Party and the government and the majority of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives.

Since his return to China, Professor Guan Hongliang has actively leveraged the advantages of his overseas Chinese identity and made positive contributions. Currently, he serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the Yanqing District CPPCC, a member of the Beijing CPPCC, a member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Overseas Chinese Federation, and the Chairman of the Beijing Overseas Talents Association.
