On October 23, the School of Literature of CNU and the Morito Institute of Global Higher Education of Hiroshima University jointly held the Ode to Red Leaves & Sino-Japanese Poetry Dialogue and Exchange Seminar both online and offline. More than 30 people attended the seminar, including Professor Hiroyuki Sato, executive vice president of Hiroshima University, and Professor Ma Zili, dean of the School of Literature of CNU.

Attendants made in-depth discussion and communication around the ode to red leaves and Chinese and Japanese views on the environment and nature, which enhanced the friendly communication between the two sides and achieved the expected academic effect.

Chinese poetry is the common cultural wealth of the Chinese and Japanese people, the bond between the Chinese and Japanese people, and the cultural treasure that reveals the wisdom of eastern philosophy to the world. Mr. Hirokoku Otani said in his speech that Chinese poetry was not only the backbone of the development of the Japanese culture, but also the cultural and moral cultivation immersed in the root of our soul.
