Since its establishment, Jingjiang College has played an important role in the fight against poverty in Beijing. It has undertaken several training programs to assist Xinjiang, which received an important instruction from General Secretary Xi Jinping in 2014. For instance, it sent Xinjiang-native unemployed college graduates back to Xinjiang to assist the construction of their home places, trained teachers from the primary and secondary schools of Xinjiang, and offered a training program for kindergarten principals from Hotan, Xinjiang, allowing them to take temporary posts in Beijing. In addition, the Capital Normal University Mode, which was developed to cultivate high-level and professional minority teachers wholeheartedly, also received the recognition from higher authorities. Jingjiang College has become a featured brand of alleviating poverty through education in CNU.
