He required colleges and departments to analyze review standards and do whatever was necessary to highlight quality. Not only did he call for the communication among the Ministry of Education, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and neighboring schools, but also for the communication among colleges, departments, first-level discipline and peers to be strengthened. The discipline review closely related to the 13th Five-Year plan; for the framework to be optimized and issues should be highlighted to demonstrate the CNU’s contribution to the country’s needs, capital development and regional development.
