The Research Center of Civilization Zoning Holds the “The Silk Road and Cultural Interactions” Symposium2015-11-16

On November 14 and 15, the Research Center of Civilization Zoning (the Center) held the “The Silk Road and Cultural Interactions” Symposium. The Vice President of the China Association of Promoting Democracy and the Director of the Center, Professor Liu Xincheng, the Party Secretary Zheng E, the Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, the Ministry of Education, Chen Yinghui, and Ambassadors to China and counselors from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia, and Montenegro attended the event. Representatives from the State Council, the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Xinhua News Agency, and the Yihai Group were present.

 

The Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, the Ministry of Education, Chen Yinghui addressed and said that the Ministry of Education attached importance to the first research base of nations and regions, and encouraged the Center to actively function on the decision making service. 

 

The symposium had two sub-conferences, discussing the topic of “The Silk Road and Cultural Interactions”. The attendees exchanged ideas on the Silk Road in history, the current national strategy of “the Belt and the Road”, the cultural interactions among various civilizations and the research of countries on the Balkans.
