CNU Holds Symposium of Elementary Art Education In China and Abroad and the Standard of Art Curriculum in High Schools2015-11-18

On November 14, the CNU held a Symposium of Elementary Art Education In China and Abroad and the Standard of Art Curriculum in High Schools. The symposium was hosted by the College of Fine Art and organized by the Research and Development Center of Asia Art Education. Over 80 persons, including experts from the Revision Group of Art Curriculum in High Schools, the Ministry of Education, representatives of universities and foreign teachers of the Class of Visual Art of the International Student Section of Beijing NO.55 High School were present there.

 

In the symposium, the head of the Art Curriculum in High School Group, Professor of the College of Fine Art, the Ph.D. tutor, Professor Yin Shaochun delivered the national policies on art education, explained the spirit and contents of the Standard of Art Curriculum in High Schools (Revision) and expressed the meaning and expression of the core quality of art. Professor Yin Shaochun also exchanged ideas and discussed case analysis of high school education and the difference in the curriculum ideas, pedagogical methods and evaluation methods between China and foreign countries through video with Professor Olivia Gude from the School of Art of the University of Chicago and Professor of Art Education Marilyn G. Stewart from the Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
