Beijing Applied Statistics Society and Beijing Big Data Association Founded2015-09-30

With support from the National Bureau of Statistics and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics, the CNU and Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB) co-founded Beijing Applied Statistics Society and Beijing Big Data Association to promote statistical research and big data development. The CNU is the affiliated unit of Beijing Institute of Applied Statistics. Beijing Applied Statistics Society will be committed to research and promotion of the statistical theory and methodology, carrying out statistical training, scientific popularization, foreign exchange and so on.

 

On September 26, the Applied Statistics and Big Data High-end Forum and The First General Meeting of Beijing Applied Statistics Society and Beijing Big Data Association were held at CNU. Xian Zude, Deputy Director of the National Bureau of Statistics, Wang Wenjie, Director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics, Wang Jiaqiong, President of CUEB, Wang Rongming, Vice President of the East China Normal University and other leaders attended the meeting. Zheng E, Secretary of the Party Committee of the CNU, also attended the meeting and delivered a speech. More than 600 representatives from other universities, research institutions and Beijing Municipal universities were present. This meeting was co-hosted by the Department of Statistics, the CNU College of Mathematics and Science, the CUEB College of Statistics and Beijing Municipal Research Institution of Statistical Application.
