The Conservatory Held a Chorus Concert in Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of War of Resistance Against Japan2015-07-07

On July 5, a chorus concert was held in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the victory of War of Resistance Against Japan in an attempt to “Keep in Mind the History and Look Forward to the Future”. The event was sponsored by the Party Committee of the Conservatory and hosted by Party branches of undergraduate and post-graduate students from the Conservatory. A total of over 400 people were present at the concert including leaders from communities, divisions, departments and institutes, Haidian General Workers Union, chorus troupes from Haiyan and Yizhuang Recreational Activities Center.


Deputy Party Secretary Miu Jinxiang was present at the event and delivered his speech.


Haiyan Chorus Troupe, many times National and Beijing Municipality Gold Award winner, sang in chorus the classics like On the Taihang Mountains and Song of the Laborers. 18 chorus songs were presented by other chorus troupes respectively including Trails, Mayflowers and Songs of Guerrillas. Mr. Li Gang, Deputy Director of the Conservatory conducted the famous piece On the Taihang Mountains, a chorus sung by all participants present at the concert.
