CNU Held a Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding for its 2015 Post Graduates2015-06-26

On June 23, CNU held a graduation ceremony and degrees awarding for its 2015 post graduates. Present at the event during which the graduates were honored the degrees were administrators such as Party Secretary Zheng E, President Gong Huili, Deputy Party Secretary Miu Jinxiang, Li Zhongqi, Secretary of the Disciplinary Inspection Committee, and Vice President like Zhou Jianshe, He Yikun, Qiu Yunhua and Li Youzeng. Also present at the event were over 2000 participants like leaders from various functions, tutors representatives, all post-graduates and representatives of their families and friends. The event was chaired by Vice President He Yikun.

 

At the event, Vice President Qiu Yunhua announced the graduation qualification reviewing report and degrees awarding decisions on the 2015 post-graduates. The list of honors graduates was chanted by Li Zhongqi, Secretary of Disciplinary Inspection Committee.

 

At the ceremony, President Gong Huili made a speech, in which, on behalf of all teachers and staff at CNU, offered his congratulations to those graduates who had successfully completed their studies, showed his respect to the tutors who had guided and trained them, and thanked the parents of those graduates. At his speech, President Gong Huili responded to the 1163 unfulfilled wishes, collected by Institute of Post-graduates, of the 2015 graduate students over the years and advice for their Alma Mater. He said that he would refine these exchanges and expectations in the course of CNU’s development. President Gong Huili initiated three Key Statements to be enacted down the road: first, gratitude and responsibilities; he hopes that the graduates should be persistent in achieving their goal of success by being grateful and responsible; secondly, learn and think: he wishes that the graduates should emphasize reading by reflecting on their own conduct so as to play a positive role in their own books of “Life” down the road; thirdly and lastly: competition and co-operation; he expects the graduates to properly handle competition and co-operation, that is, to bravely face challenges in one hand and enjoy co-operation in the other. In his closing statement, President Gong Huili sent his blessings to each and every graduate on behalf of Alma Mater, which he emphasizes, is always home to all.

 

The meeting was also addressed by Prof. Hao Chunwen, representative of Alumini, 1983 MA graduate, 1995 doctoral graduate and Director of History Institute at CNU, Prof. Zhang Jingbin, doctoral tutor and representative of tutors, as well as Liu Heran, 2012 MA graduate form the Institute of Politics and Law.

 

Degrees and Certificates were awarded and pictures were taken by the university administrators with each and every of the 1811 doctoral and master degree recipients.
