Review Meeting Held for the 2014 APEC Volunteers2015-01-04

From Oct. 31 to Nov. 12, 116 CNU students volunteered for the 2014 APEC Summit. Their services totaled more than 25,000 hours and covered 16 kinds, including registration, hotel counseling, and the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s reception. The amount topped the list of participating universities. College of Foreign Languages of CNU contributed the whole share of services at the Registration Center, the only volunteer post undertaken by a university. During the meeting, Party-secretary of Beijing Guo Jinlong, mayor Wang Anshun, deputy Party-secretary of Beijing Lv Xiwen paid a visit to our volunteers and thought highly of their job. Besides, there were media reports about them from Xinhuanet, Beijing Daily, Beijing Youth Daily, and the Beijing News.


On Dec. 24, CNU held a review meeting for the 2014 APEC volunteers. Present were deputy party-secretary of CNU Miao Jinxiang, officers from Beijing Volunteer Center, the Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipality, and Beijing Municipal Commission of Education. They congratulated for these volunteers’ good performances and bestowed them certificates and souvenirs.
