Mr. Zhang Shaobin, leader of the research group from the College of Life Science published an article, titled “Specific Regulation of Thermosensitive Lipid Droplet Fusion by a Nuclear Hormone Receptor Pathway”, online on Proceedings of The National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America (PNAS) on Augusts 1, 2017 (weblink: and revealed their findings regarding a new nuclear hormone receptor signaling pathway in model animal nematodes and its new function in regulating thermosensitive lipid droplet fusion.

This work was led and done independently, in which professor Zhang served as the corresponding author while Li Shiwei, the doctoral student, was the first author in addition to master students Li Qi, Kong Yuanyuan, Wu Shuang, Cui Jingpo and Zhang Mingming as co-authors.
