June 26 is International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, over 100 undergraduates from Youth Volunteer Center, Graduate Association and English Education CPC Branch of Foreign Language College of our university participated in Long Walk publicity campaign of 10,000 People, of which the theme was" Call for healthy life, whole nation participation of drug control". This activity aims at building the anti-drug atmosphere within the range of the whole city, launching the people to participate in the drug control actively, strengthening people's consciousness of knowing drug, defending drug, and refusing drug, calling people to keep away from the drugs, treasuring the life.

On the morning of the 26th, the volunteers of our university wore united uniforms, held high the banner of “capital Normal University Volunteers" and began long walk. Though a burst of light rain accompanied all the time on the way, the volunteers' enthusiasm did not subside at all. The Long Walk team started off from Wanshou Temple, passing through Zizhuyuan，Zengguang Road, Capital Gymnasium, Diaoyutai, finally reached the destination-- China Millennium Monument. The whole Long Walk activity was in perfect order, students' faces always radiated happiness that volunteer service brought , displaying to the full good mental outlook of volunteers of Capital Normal University, which made contributions to ban drugs work of our city.
