Capital Normal University held its twelfth congress of the Communist Party of China from Jul. 10th to 11th, with 214 representatives attending the opening ceremony, including retired university leaders, some academicians, party and administrative leaders of all colleges and departments, chiefs of democratic parties, and personages without party affiliation. Liu Jian, First Deputy Seceretary of Beijing Education Working Committee attended the conference and delivered an important speech. Lin Rongrong, Secretary-general of the conference and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, presided over the event.
    Zhang Xue, Secretary of Party Committee, gave a report on the work of the Party Committee, while Pan Liang, Secretary of the Committee for Disciplinary Inspection, presented a report on the work of the Committee for Disciplinary Inspection, providing comprehensive summaries of their work in the past five years and looking into their work in the next five years. 25 members of the Party Committee and 11 members of the Committee for Disciplinary Inspection were elected at the meeting, while 47 proposals had been submitted to the conference by the end of the closing ceremony. Representatives of the Party Committee who were involved in bringing forward proposals take up 60% of the total.
