Capital Normal University is a comprehensive normal university, is made up of 46 undergraduate majors and 63 specialties. There are 9 majors covering philosophy, economics, science of law, pedagogy, literature, history ,science, engineering, Management, among which 14 majors or specialties are of type of normal school and 49 majors or specialties non-normal school.

Department of Primary Education, World History, Comparative literature , Musicology (normal), Arts (normal), English (normal), Literature of Chinese (normal), Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (normal) ,Bioscience, Bioscience (normal),biotechnology ,etc.11 departments (including specialties ) are the ones that the university focuses on in the first batch construction.

Remarks: Students majoring in World History who have completed 60 credits required by Cultivation Scheme for double degree teaching planning of School of Foreign Language can be awarded Bachelor of Arts degree.
