Regularization and Perturbation of the Kepler problem 2015-06-04

Intruction:In this talk, I will present certain applications of the Goursat-Levi-Civita regularization of the Kepler problem, from dimension 1 to dimension 3. In dimension 1, I will present a simplification of certain study of the forced rectilinear Kepler problem of R. Ortega. From dimension 2, I will focus on the discussion of quasi-collision orbits, which are collisionless orbits pass arbitrarily close to the collisions. I will present a mechanism initiated by Chenciner and Llibre for detecting such orbits and will summarize some results toward such orbits in various three-body problems.
